Cibrèo Caffè and Cibrèo Ristorante & Cocktail Bar
27/03/2023
Elegance and authenticity in the heart of Florence

The long-established Cibrèo restaurant was first opened by chef Fabio Picchi in Sant’Ambrogio in 1979, and today boasts a total of 7 temples to flavour in the city. These iconic venues, always devoted to the cult of authentic seasonal food, include Cibrèo Caffè and Cibrèo Ristorante & Cocktail Bar at the Helvetia & Bristol hotel: two spaces offering a warm and friendly welcome and beautiful Liberty-style decor combined with typical Cibrèo touches such as red velvet seating, the warmth of wood, delightful soft lighting and a refined yet informal style.

In this exquisitely charming setting, today a distinctive feature of Cibrèo worldwide, food and decor exist in a perfect symbiosis of tradition and modernity on the menu, designed by Executive Chef Oscar Severini – who spent many years working with Fabio Picchi – and Gabriele Avanzi, Chef de Cuisine of both the café and the restaurant, in which reinterpretations of Italian classics are interspersed with more distinctly Florence-inspired dishes. A gastronomic journey that develops and updates with the natural rhythm of the seasons, intensified by innovative new techniques, always guaranteed to delight.

The two venues, managed by Giulio Picchi with the same enthusiasm as his late father, really are the new places to be in Florence, and are accompanied by intimate and versatile spaces like the Winter Garden, which preserves all the charm of Liberty exoticism in an ambience which – just like the Cibrèo food concept – conveys all the contemporary mood of timeless style.
