Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters 2023
03/04/2023
Great tennis from 8 to 16 April at the Monte Carlo Country Club

Tennis mania is looming and anticipation for the first major European event of the year on clay is skyrocketing. Scheduled this year from 8 to 16 April, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, the historic men’s tennis (singles and doubles) tournament, first played in 1897, brings together the world’s 56 best players, and is one of the most prestigious tournaments on the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) circuit, played at the spectacular Monte-Carlo Country Club, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

Rolex has been the official timekeeper of this prestigious event since 2006 and is also the official timekeeper of all four Grand Slam tournaments.

Winner of the last two tournaments in Monte Carlo is Rolex ambassador Stefanos Tsisipas, the first Greek player to reach a Grand Slam final. However, the star of the tournament remains Rafael Nadal, who, with his 11 singles victories, is the undisputed record holder, followed with “only” 6 victories by Reginald Doherty, a hero of British tennis between the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries.

In addition to Tsisipas and Nadal, this year’s field will include Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Andrey Rublev, Casper Ruud, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Alexander Zverev, and for Italy, Jannik Sinner, Matteo Berrettini, Lorenzo Musetti, Lorenzo Sonego and Fabio Fognini.

New for 2023 – for the first time, coverage of three courts will be broadcast on television, on Eurosport and C8 in France

It will be a breath-taking challenge.
