The concerts you shouldn’t miss in Tuscany this summer

Great live music and the most eagerly-awaited dates

STADIO ARTEMIO FRANCHI (FLORENCE)
Two major events are set to fill the Artemio Franchi stadium this summer: the much-postponed Tiziano Ferro concert, finally confirmed for 21 June, and Pinguini tattici nucleari on their first tour playing only stadiums and arenas, in Florence on 15 July.

MUSART (FLORENCE)
The MusArt Festival (15 to 26 July) never disappoints. Opening once again this year in Piazza della Santissima Annunziata is Roberto Bolle and Friends, followed by artists including Venditti e De Gregori (17 July), violinist David Garrett (18 July), Marco Masini (19 July) and Drusilla Foer (20 July) – these two are also appearing in Estate Fiesolana Paolo Conte (21 July), Madame (24 July) and Stewart Copeland, the legendary drummer and co-founder of the Police (25 July).

FIRENZE ROCKS
Music is back at the Parco delle Cascine in Florence, on the stage of the Visarno Arena. To date there are two headliners confirmed: the only Italian date for the historic British rock band The Who, accompanied by the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino orchestra on 17 June, and Maroon 5 on 18 June.

LUCCA SUMMER FESTIVAL
From 29 June to 28 July, great Italian and international music is once again the protagonist of the festival in Piazza Napoleone. The most eagerly-awaited include Kiss (29 June), Simply Red (1 July), Bob Dylan (6 July), OneRepublic (16 July), Lil Nas X (20 July) and Robbie Williams (28 July).

LA PRIMA ESTATE (VERSILIA)
La Prima Estate festival returns to BussolaDomani Park in Lido di Camaiore (Lucca), from 16 to 25 June 2023. A couple of names for advance hype? Alt-J (23 June) and Jamiroquai (24 June).

PISTOIA BLUES
Pistoia’s Piazza Duomo is the venue for the 42nd edition of Pistoia Blues from 5 to 12 July. Also onstage are Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett (7 July) and Baustelle (8 July).

TEATRO DEL SILENZIO (LAJATICO)
Last but not least, the spectacular Andrea Bocelli concert in the fabulous setting of the Teatro del Silenzio among the hills of Lajatico (Pisa); this year on 27 and 29 July.
