Fluid, spectacular, lightweight dresses with bold impact. These are the characteristics ofEmilio Pucci’s dresses for summer 2016, which are also perfect for formal summer wear, from classical, elegant events to more casual, carefree occasions.
The Florence maison’s iconic prints are always present in the creations of Emilio Pucci, but they also leave plenty of space for the new ideas of creative director, Massimo Giorgetti. Since 2015, Giorgetti has been taking the brand in the direction of a contemporary style that takes its strength and inspiration from its historic heritage. Thus we rediscover key pieces and models that were dear to the Marchese’s heart, but reinterpreted in new styles, like the long-sleeved, printed chiffon dress with round neck, tight bodice and round skirt with splits in a yellow shade of the Piume version.
If the aim is to stand out at the ceremony (but without upstaging the bride), you can choose the glamorous sleeveless dress with V neck and tulip skirt with deep splits, entirely embroidered in midnight blue sequins, specially applied and treated to reproduce the iridescence and consistency of a mermaid’s scales.
Seventies inspiration for the elegant long dress in emerald green cady silk with deep V neck, front and back and neck and cuffs richly embroidered with tone-on-tone beading. For a more casual ceremony, perhaps barefoot on the beach, Emilio Puccihas a jersey dress printed in the classic Grasshopper design in fuchsia and sky blue with 3/4-length sleeves. A model that is sure to have a bold impact. Even though the design is simple, it will still be sleek and easy to move in when the bride throws the bouquet!
